..THE RIGHTEOUS AND WICKED COMPARED..
.....
Where do you fit ?
"...With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
Let favour be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.
LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us..." Isa 26:9-12.

..."Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."...Psa 1:1-6.

"..."Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?" Job 21:7-15.

"...Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished..." Prov 16:3-5.

"...When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:..." Matt 25:31-34.

"...Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved..." Eph 1:3-6.

"...For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them..." Eph 2:8-10.

The Righteous and Wicked Compared
8,8 (L.M.)

Eliphaz and Zophar agreed
With sentiment to them so free;
That the lot of this earth's wicked
Was to suffer for all they did.
Gives the description of their pain,
With all the words that they could feign;
Their counsel's not found from the facts,
(Job describes with words so exact.)
That their common observation,
Without any reservation,
Day by day, will clearly deny,
These obvious facts we apply;
That earth's wicked do not suffer,
But they do rather prosper
With the injustice they have done;
-Of retribution, small or none.
See how the wise Job presents this,
For what is known, he does not miss;
Cautions his friends, their mouths to stop,
To take care with the words they drop;
For their case should strike saints with fear
If God does with them long forbear;
Because these don't die, but grow old -
Still show no concern for Christ's fold.
These also wax mighty in power,
Their thoughts rise high as Babel's Tower;
Their seed prospers here in their sight,
Their crops flourish without earth's blight.
Their houses are safe from God's fear,
Neither know of His chast'ning care;
Their hopes succeed, and faileth not,
And prosperity is their lot.
Their offspring increase like a flock.
They dance with joy at earth's stock;
With the old timbrel and harp's voice,
And with the organ they rejoice.
And in this wealth, all their days spend,
Where God's poor can barely defend;
The Will of God, their lot attends,
To Him in their patience thus bend.
The wicked in pride, will not bend;
Submit to God's Will, though He send;
The righteous, or His Dear Son,
Who did Himself, this earth's course run.
As Job of old, endured their words,
That this world's wicked at Him hurled;
-Boast of their wealth and goodness too,
Which God has deprived from His few.
But when all of their days are spent,
Which God in kindness, to them leant;
Death, in a moment o'er them sweeps,
And they receive where their soul reaps.
Because they stood in little need
Of God's grace, their poor souls' to feed;
To him they say, "Depart from us",
What need of Thee, and Thy Jesus,
To give to us what nature can't,
-Nothing is there for which we pant.
For what we have, this will suffice;
Our wealth is that which pacifies.
Job declares, they're like stubble too,
That the meandering winds do blow;
Who in the judgment shall not rise,
Or lift there eyes up to God's skies.
God made them for the evil day,
-His Will to use them in this way;
For Himself, all things He did make,
Oh saints, from Him, His Word now take;
Cease from your own understanding,
Where vain nature is demanding,
His Own Purpose to comprehend;
Who seek to change the Divine Plan
For in the last days of His Son;
He's gathered all the nations now:
As a shepherd, his flocks divide,
And places His sheep upon His side;
To them He says "Now enter in",
To a kingdom, prepared for them;
They inherit by His command,
There safe dwell, while still in this land.
Those on His left will stand in view,
Beside the little, chosen few;
And of their merits and their works,
They'll daily boast, where their pride lurks;
These on His right, no boasting take,
For all their boasting's for His sake;
Who died for them upon the tree -
From boasting then, they are set free;
By grace they're saved, not of themselves,
Their first and present life reveals;
For grace in Jesus was there found,
And they rejoice, now with the sound;
