Raise A Joyful Voice
LM Version
Raise a joyful voice all ye lands,
And sing the honors of your God !
Come together ye lovely bands,
You must bow to your Maker's nod.
Be not afraid, sing praise to God,
To Whom all of your praise is due;
He'll raise you from this earthly clod,
Because He ever has loved you.
Sing and shout, He'll remove your doubt,
- Cause you to trust your Savior too !
He knows your every in and out,
If troubles be many or few.
Christ's set you free, you need not fear,
Lift up your heads, arms hanging down,
For it's now the jubilee year,
And your Lord's Day of great renown !
He came to earth, He bled and died,
To set your soul and spirit free;
As God, He never has then lied,
When He hanged on Calvary's tree;
Said, "I've done that I came to do;"
His promise' sure, with power too,
May our hearts give Him all His due,
If our days be many or few.
Oh, do not fear, on home He'll steer,
To take you to your heav'nly home;
The way may sometimes feel austere,
While through this present world you roam,
But, still press on, the way's not far,
And your Jesus has walked here too;
His power'll remove your every bar,
And He'll see you all the way through.
You'll only pass through the dark shroud,
And leave behind the cloudy day;
You'll see Him there, for God has vowed,
You would forever with Him stay.
