Raise A Joyful Voice
CM version - 8,6
Raise a joyful voice all ye lands,
Sing honors to your God !
Come together ye lovely bands,
And wait your Jesus' nod.
Be not afraid, sing praise to God,
Whom all your praise is due;
He'll raise you from this earthly clod,
He ever has loved you.
Sing and shout, He'll remove your doubt,
And make you trust Him too !
He knows your every in and out,
In troubles great or few.
Christ's set you free, you need not fear,
Lift your heads, hanging down,
For It's now the jubilee year,
The Day of great renown !
He came to earth, He bled and died,
To set your spirit free;
As God, He never then has lied,
Though hanged on Calv'ry's tree;
Said, "I've done that I came to do;"
With promise and pow'r too,
May our hearts give Him all His due,
If days are long or few.
Oh, do not fear, on home He'll steer,
Take you to your sweet home;
The way may sometimes feel austere,
While here you yet do roam,
But, still press on, the way's not far,
Dear Jesus walked here too;
His power'll remove your every bar,
And see you all way through.
You'll only pass through the dark shroud,
And leave the cloudy day;
You'll see Him there, for God has vowed,
He'd ever with you stay.
