"...Come unto me all ye that are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest...""

"...Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me, for My yoke is easy, and My burden is light..."

"....The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow..." 2 Sam 23:3-5.

An Everlasting Covenant

L.M.

Come poor children in doubt and fear,
When thoughts of hell and death draw near;
-You who love the Dear Savior's Name,
For you, into this world He came.

For if you Love and fear His Name,
It shows that you are free from blame,
Who love His people for His sake,
Are in the Cov'nant He did make.

You yet can't read your title clear,
To be left out, sometimes still fear;
Who find no hope, yourself within,
But fear you're lost because of sin;

Who hear the Lord came to this earth,
To give His children a new birth;
And hope you're one for whom He came,
For in your heart He's placed His Name.

If you desire to live with Him,
But feel your goodness is so slim;
And righteousness your heart does crave,
You are a child He came to save.

You're in the Cov'nant from of old,
And in Life's Book you've been enrolled;
E'er long your fear will pass away,
When Jesus speaks in His Own way;

Then in your works you'll need not trust,
Your fancied wealth will turn to rust;
What nature had to live upon,
When Jesus comes, will all be gone.

You'll need no goodness of your own,
For you'll see Jesus all alone;
His righteousness you'll find so dear,
His Love will cast out all your fear.

His Love will draw thee to His breast,
And there you'll find your blessed rest;
Your fear and bondage will be gone,
And of His Life you'll live upon.

He'll say "You've ever in Me been,"
Before the heavens did begin;
In My Mind's cov'nant from of old,
In glory that can ne'r be told.
