6.6.8.6

"Come to Christ", is the call
Of all the world around;
How can the dead, lost in the fall,
With those in Life be found?

Here a mystery lies
Which nature cannot see;
For man cannot to Jesus rise
Till Grace has set him free.

All of His, then shall come
And in the Son be found;
Out of His house there shall be none
When His sweet voice shall sound.

The dead shall His voice hear
And hearing, they shall live;
In Life with Jesus shall appear
And in Him lie passive.

The Father wills they come,
Whose Will is always done;
And of those given, lost are none-
They're raised in His Dear Son.

And though they sleep in earth
And in the dust they lay;
They shall arise from sin's old berth
And from their Adam clay.

He came for their own sake
And to them He shall speak;
To everlasting life awake,
When they His love then seek.

He came to awake them
From dust they now arise;
O! this love we cannot fathom,
It's higher than the skies.

They shine in His brightness
As the stars in the sky;
When they come forth in His likeness
No more in sin to lie

Sin remains in their flesh
With which they must contend;
With fear Till grace their souls refresh
And Christ is found their end.

No worth in self they find,
Their flesh can do no good;
Until His grace in them has shined
And they've done all they could.

The old man is brought forth
In death to daily lie;
For sin is condemned in this earth
It's sentence to apply.

Can't come to Christ for life
Nor yet can he believe;
Or rise above the legal strife
Which to his flesh does cleave.

The Law can't give us life -
Grace does in this last day;
Or deliver from the world's strife
While here on earth we stay.

Our Life is in Jesus
The Hope of glory found;
And He must daily renew us
And place on holy ground.

His Spirit in us works
And moves our soul to God;
Even though our old man there shirks
And still in sin will prod.

He does His Father's Will
And works in heart and mind;
Came His Father's Will to fulfill
In Word and Life we find.

Eternal Life won't end
With this life here below;
The stream of life may therein bend,
That Stream will onward flow.
