A King Shall Reign In Righteousness

"...And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt..." Dan 12:1-2.

"...Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself..." John 5:24-26.

"... Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great..." Rev 11:17-18.

"... And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof...: Rev 5:3-5.

".. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
"...And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works..." Rev 20:12-13.

"... Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land..." Isa 32:1-2.

CM, 6

When Jesus came, His Own to save,
And for His people stood;
It was for them His Life He gave
And shed for them His blood.

For at that time did Michael stand,
That prince so great to me!
That with Him, in heav'n to land,
He died upon the tree.

He came to earth, the dead to wake,
And set their spirit free:
When to Himself our sin did take,
And nail it to His tree.

Those that were dead in earth's old grave,
He called by His Own Name;
And from their sin then did unslave,
- For these, His sheep He came.

He came the nations thus to judge,
And set the pris'nors free;
Though, He alone through earth did drudge
Unknown in His country.

Their names were written in His book,
Though sin did these bury;
The glor'ous realms He thus forsook,
And lived in misery.

Thou art the Lion of Judah's tribe
Worthy to look and see;
All power and grace to Thee ascribe
The Holy Deity.

Only The Son could view sin's book,
To see what's writ thereon;
Only The Son, worthy to look,
- Only The Son, alone.

Though He did open up and look
On that's brought death to me;
In Him I've found another Book
That finds my Life in Thee.

My hiding Place, my shel'tring Rock,
Rivers in this dry place;
My Heav'nly riches and my Stock,
And my secure embrace;

No blasting wind can blow astray
Nor sin my soul destroy;
Since Jesus in the earth did lay,
To give me endless joy.

My Counsellor, my Prince of Peace,
So Wonderful, now see!
Who, from sin now gives sweet release,
And makes us live in Thee.

O! Jesus Thou art all my Life,
Who gave Thy Life for me;
Who suffered pain, Who suffered strife,
- I'm sometimes blessed to see;

- But am so weak to praise Thy Name
Now, to this very day;
That I so often sink in shame,
To never feel a ray.

Of that great Love that Thou hast shown
So many times to me;
Which others may have never known,
And never seem to see;

O, may Thy Spirit grant me peace,
Though all things else decay;
And may the din of this world cease,
And hasten on that Day;

May I in Thy Righteousness stand,
In Hope of Life in Thee;
When Thou shalt give the great command
To all Thy Glory see.
